Handwritten account [by Liam Manahan] of the establishment and training of Volunteers in East Limerick and North Cork. The document mentions Ernest Blythe, who came to Mitchelstown to organise training, and Robert Monteith, who acted as drill instructor in the area. The document is a rough approximation of pages 1-5 of P104/1/1.

Exercise book marked ‘B’ on the front cover, containing two sets of recollections by Liam Manahan. The first relates to tensions in counties Kerry and Cork at the time of the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty in December 1921 and the hostility in some quarters felt towards Michael Collins. The second contains an account of Manahan’s earliest memories, mainly focusing on his father. Also included is an account of organised agrarian resistance against landlords in North Cork and East Limerick and measures taken by Major Clifford Lloyd to suppress the Land League. The contents of this second set are similar to those in P104/1/7 but more detailed. The second set is paginated and is continued in P104/1/9.

This series contains letters to, from and concerning Liam Manahan at various stages of his life. Also included in this series are letters from Denis O'Dwyer to Marianne Gallagher relating to Liam Manahan.

Letter from Desmond Ryan, Oulart, Forrest Road, Swords, county Dublin to Liam Manahan. Ryan makes corrections to a 1916 statement given to him by Manahan and expresses regret at not having connected with him before the publication of his book [presumably Seán Treacy and the Third Tipperary Brigade, IRA, 1945].

Unsigned letter from Liam Manahan, San José, 52 Hillside, Dalkey, county Dublin to an unidentified recipient sharing his recollections of the events in Mitchelstown at the time of the failed mission of The Aud to smuggle arms from Germany to Ireland for the Easter Rising. The letter mentions the ongoing 1916 commemorations.

Photocopy of a press cutting containing a list of twenty-six Irishmen, arrested in February 1917 and deported to various centres in England, who are claiming damages for false imprisonment. The names listed include that of Liam Manahan.

This series contains photographs of the Manahan family and leading members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. Also included in this series is a photograph of the birthplace of Michael Collins acquired by Manahan's daughter, Marianne Gallagher.
