Historia biográfica
Hella Anna Maria Scholz was born in Berlin on 29 December 1928 as the younger of the two daughters of Bruno Scholz, a merchant in building materials, and Klara née Kaiser. She was educated in Berlin. In 1942, she met Günther Junge, a pilot with the German Luftwaffe. They remained a couple until Günther’s death in an air battle on 27 January 1944.
After the war, Hella worked as a laboratory assistant for a British military medical unit in Hannover. Here, she met her future husband, an Englishman named William Fuller. They married on 1 January 1951 at the Ploughley & Bullingdon Register Office in Oxford, and in February of that year Hella became a British citizen. She and her husband lived in Oxfordshire and had no children. Hella later moved to Penarth in Glamorgan, Wales, where she died on 31 January 2003.

From Hella in Berlin, Neuwestend. She is going to continue to be good and reply to his letter immediately. However school is about to start and then Günther may have to wait for letters as she will have to do her school work. She makes a comment about the Luftwaffe bombing in Belgrade at Easter. She spent Easter at home. They had relatives over to visit. She went to see the film Die verkaufte Braut. She liked this film, but was disappointed with the film Maria Stuart which she saw a few days earlier. Recently she has found quite a few films disappointing. She bemoans her laziness when it comes to school work and is already looking forward to the Whitsun holidays. Recently Hella’s class went on a rainy walk from Wannsee to Potsdam and enjoyed making fun of their ‘class daddy’. Hella asks why Günther’s letters only refer to the pleasant side of his posting, and never to his duties which she is sure he must have. She asks if he knows how long he will stay there. Her family thank him for his greetings and her father accepts Günther’s news about stamps and tobacco. It is late and Hella is cold and so is going to bed. With envelope.
