The reverse contains a further note from John Kenny, Mungret Model Farm to an unidentified recipient stating that ‘These payments were made by me for the Commissioners and passed in my monthly accounts at the time. Had the Commissioners (as the ought to have done) raised the question of exemption from taxation (as Lord Monteagle did) the further sum of £10-10-4 would not have been paid by me, and which is still due to me.’
