Typescript speech delivered by Lorna Reynolds to open the jubilee exhibition of Dublin Magazine Archives [in the Library of Trinity College, Dublin on 30 May-30 September 1973]. Inserted between the pages of the speech are unrelated typing instructions for a Mrs Glynn.

Two different versions of the programme of Canada and the Celtic Consciousness symposium at the University of Toronto in February 1978. One of the versions is dated 1 November 1977. Also see P74/1/3/6/5/3.

This sub-series contains notes by Lorna Reynolds on the ancient stories and legends of Ireland and notes on Petrarch and Chaucer.

Intermingled mix of manuscript and typescript narratives relating to the ancient stories of Ireland, including incomplete typescript introductions to the subject and a manuscript version of one of these; typescript version of ‘Oisin of Tir na Nog’; incomplete manuscript versions of ‘The Children of Lir; and typescript poems ‘Lament of Deirdre for the Sons of Usnagh’ and ‘Fionnuala’s Lament over Sidhe Finnagha.’ Intermixed with and partly incorporated into the notes are drafts of poems by Reynolds inspired by these legends. Typescript document of German origin entitled ‘Four Kildare-Poems’, containing the poems ‘Hymn’ by Michael Kildare; ‘The Land of Cokaygne’; ‘Satire (on the People of Kildare)’; and ‘A Lullaby’, all written in Old English, and mostly extracted from vol. 2 of Thomas Wright’s Reliquiae Antiquae (1841).
