Guthrie has given another reading of Kate’s play [That Lady] and is enormously pleased with it. It now seems that the play will open in America after all. Kate begs Lorna to wire and write to her in Cobh and in London and expresses her longing for Lorna. In the second part of the letter, written two days later, Kate describes the preparations for her departure and mentions a farewell party to be held in her honour that evening. With envelope.

She still cannot sleep and was up on deck in the early hours to watch Ireland appear in the horizon. She has a lot of business to get through in London before parting for Ireland. With envelope.
