The cover depicts a photograph of the Limerick-born American diplomat Thomas St. John Gaffney (1864-1945) standing next to Wilhelm II, the last German Emperor and King of Prussia. Page 3 of the periodical contains a page-long article dedicated to the friendship between the two men.
