Glass plate negative (165 x 215 mm) with the emulsion peeled off except for the bottom third of the image. The original negative depicted a portrait of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Francis Mellish (1782-1817) which hangs in a half-landing at Hodsock Priory in Blyth, Worksop on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
