Except for the early letters which deal with the imprisonment of Gallagher and his wife, the bulk of the correspondence is of social nature conveying news of holidays and discussing books. Richardson regarding Kate O’Brien (for which see P76/2/4/11), which Reynolds may like to use in her biography. He asks to meet Reynolds to get her advice on the bibliography he is compiling.
