Letter dated 16 April notes ‘We are sorry to say that… Mrs. Miles died early today. We have, of course, exchanged Contracts so this will not affect your purchase of the cottage… Tassell & Son feel sure that the Executrices will be agreeable to your moving in on the 15th May’.
