The children from left to right are Lilah, Doreen, Beatrice and Henry Barnaby. They are heavily clothed in thick coats, boots and hats.

Lilah and Beatrice are attired in sailor suits while Doreen, whose image is blurred, is dressed in a white frock. All three girls have wide-brimmed straw hats on their heads.
