The cover comprises a press cutting of two photographs taken in 1946 and 1959, showing a woman dressed in rags walking in war-torn surroundings and a smiling woman dressed in a fur coat crossing a street respectively, with the caption ‘Just thirteen years separate these two photographs. We should remind ourselves of this when not all our wishes come true’.
