Soft-cover A5-size exercise book used as a diary, with daily entries from 6 September to 28 December 1990. The entries comprise in the main references to domestic and work-related events, rugby matches and current national and international affairs, such as the Gulf War, presidential election in Ireland and the fall of Margaret Thatcher. There are also several entries relating to writing. At this time, Gallivan was working on a stage version of The Final Mission; a new version of Beggar & Bloom; and a restructuring of The Turbulent Tiger. He discusses his progress with each play and difficulties encountered on the way, including his struggle to master the use of a new electric typewriter.
