Letter from W. F. Richardson, St Kevins, Blessington, county Wicklow to Michael O’Toole, responding to O’Toole’s newspaper notice (for which see P76/3/2/2/2/12). Richardson provides an anecdote of his fishing holiday in Corofin in 1945, during which he met and befriended Kate O’Brien and made a trout fly from some of her hair, naming it ‘O’Brien’s Glory’. Attached to the letter is a copy of a comic poem given to him by Kate O’Brien in return. Also O’Toole’s reply of thanks. Also see P76/2/1/5, P76/2/1/8 and P74/1/3/6/3/11.
